Moskalkova suggests signing agreement with Ukraine to help dual nationals

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova has suggested signing an agreement with Ukraine on the status of persons holding dual citizenship.

"A lot of people have two passports. I believe, Ukraine must discuss and sign an agreement with Russia on the status of persons with dual citizenship," Moskalkova told journalists on Tuesday.

People are suffering due to "political complications," she said. Such citizens of the two countries should be able to receive consular access and hire a lawyer from any of those countries, which is currently impossible, she said.
