Peskov declines to comment on report on Nord Stream 2 commissioning timeframe
MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov says he has not seen the document stating that the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline could be completed in the second half of 2020.
"I'm not familiar with that report, so I can't tell you anything," Peskov told journalists on Friday in response to a relevant question.
Bloomberg reported earlier that according to a document presented to a Danish regulatory body, the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline could be completed in the second half of 2020.
Nord Stream 2 AG told Interfax that the schedule envisaging a launch in 2020 relates only to the third proposed route in Denmark, the application for which was submitted in April 2019, since that route would require additional time.
