Turchynov resigning as NSDC secretary - source

KYIV. May 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NDSC) Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov is planning to resign in the near future.

"That's right," a source in the NDSC told Interfax on Friday when asked whether Turchynov was resigning.

Turchynov has served as the NDSC secretary since December 16, 2014. Following Viktor Yanukovych's removal from presidency in February 2014, Turchynov became the Verkhovna Rada speaker, then acting head of state for four months.
