Reports of bombs planted at Belgorod railway station, shopping malls false - police

BELGOROD. May 18 (Interfax) - Employees of emergency situations services found no explosive objects at the mass gathering facilities in Belgorod on Saturday, the press service for the Russian Interior Ministry branch for the Belgorod region told Interfax.

"On May 18, the police received the reports that a threat to the social infrastructure facilities allegedly exists. This information was not confirmed during checks at the buildings and the adjacent territories. An inquiry into the reports is currently underway," the press service said.

According to witnesses' posts on social networks, people were evacuated from the buildings of the airport and the railway station in Belgorod, as well as from the shopping malls City Mall, Rio, MegaGRINN, Modny Bulvar, and the Belgorod department store.
