Verkhovna Rada can't adopt laws after president's decree dissolving it - Tymoshenko

KYIV. May 21 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada cannot adopt any decisions following the president's decree on its dissolution, Batkivshchyna faction leader Yulia Tymoshenko said.

"Since the decree was issued, in accordance with Article 85 and Article 90 of the Constitution, parliament cannot adopt laws and other decisions but can only hold elections," Tymoshenko told reporters near the presidential administration headquarters following consultations with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday.
