Moscow wants to bolster trade and military-technical cooperation with Brunei - Russian FM

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Russia hopes to further step up trade, economic, humanitarian, and military cooperation with Brunei, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"I would like the very good political dialogue that exists between our countries to be accompanied by growth of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, and also military and military-technical ties," Lavrov said at the start of a meeting with Brunei Darussalam's Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof on Friday.

The latter, in turn, said that Russia is an important partner for his country within the United Nations, reaffirming Brunei's interest in further bolstering bilateral relations.
