Ukrainian members of humanitarian subgroup for Donbas inform Zelensky of talks details
KYIV. May 24 (Interfax) - Kyiv's delegates in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group for settling the conflict in Donbas have informed President Volodymyr Zelensky of the ongoing negotiations, positions they have been defending, and Ukrainians being held by the opposing side.
The leadership of the Ukrainian Security Service and the combined center for hostages and missing persons were also present at the meeting, Verkhovna Rada First Deputy Chairperson Iryna Herashchenko said.
"We have informed [Zelensky] of the humanitarian group's work, details of the negotiations, the positions we are defending, the names and lists of hostages and missing persons, and other problems. If our information and this 'institutional memory' helps free our people, for whom we have fought so hard all these years, this will be important," Herashchenko wrote on Facebook on Friday.
