Kadyrov denies rumors of his possible appointment as presidential envoy to N. Caucasus or Russian Deputy PM

MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - The Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has denied recent rumors in the media that he could be appointed as the presidential envoy of the North Caucasus Federal District or as a Russian Deputy Prime Minister.

"Once again they married me off. Without me," Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel on Friday.

"It turns out I am being promoted, going up the career ladder. I am being appointed as envoy to North Caucasus Federal District and Russian deputy prime minister at the same time," Kadyrov said.

The authors of such articles are "deeply deluded," he said. "I am a slave of Allah and a servant of my people. Beyond these offices there exist no other chairs for me," the Chechen leader said.
