Date of next U.S.-Taliban talks to be set later - Taliban's representative

MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - The date of the next talks between the United States and the Taliban (banned in Russia) has yet to be set, the Taliban's representative Mohammed Sohail Shaheen said.

"The date of the next talks has yet to be set," Shaheen told the press in Moscow on Tuesday.

He confirmed plans to hold another round of talks and said; "their date will be set a little later."

The sides have made some progress at the talks, Shaheen said.

The latest round of talks between the United States and the Taliban took place in Doha, Qatar, on May 10.
