Russian diplomats looking into detention of Russian citizen in Kosovo

MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, is looking into the circumstances of a Russian citizen who is detained in Kosovo.
"We have received relevant information, and the embassy is looking into the circumstances of the incident now," embassy spokesperson Margarita Komissarova told Interfax on Tuesday.
The media had reported earlier that an employee of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Russian citizen Mikhail Krasnoshchenkov had been detained.
Kosovo is a self-proclaimed state, whose independence Belgrade has not recognized.
