Medvedev hopes Russian, Uzbekistan can boost trade to $10 bln
URGENCH. May 30 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said he hoped Russia and Uzbekistan would be able to boost trade to $10 billion before long.
"We have the ambitious aim of raising bilateral trade to $10 billion. I'm sure that if we address this actively then it will be within our power to achieve very soon," he said at a meeting of the joint commission at the level of the prime ministers of Russia and Uzbekistan.
Medvedev said trade between Russia and Uzbekistan reached $4 billion in 2018, one of the highest figures in Russian trade with other CIS countries. Trade between Russia and Uzbekistan has already grown 10% in 2019, he said.
