Kazakh President Tokayev says he consults with Nazarbayev

NUR-SULTAN. June 3 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has described presidency as a huge responsibility.

"Understanding of your responsibility and the fact that the future of the country is in your hands seem to be the most important thing. Responsibility stimulates and disciplines," Tokayev said in his interview with the television program Vesti Nedeli (VGTRK) in response to the question whether it was difficult to be the president after such an acclaimed leader as Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Besides, "I have an opportunity to consult with our first president, Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev," Tokayev said.

"I am not shy about doing so. I believe this is the essence of power transition in Kazakhstan," he said.
