S. Korea-U.S. alliance sufficient to solve Korean Peninsula problem - MP
VLADIVOSTOK. June 5 (Interfax) - South Korean President Moon Jae-in believes that a military-political alliance between South Korea and the United States would be sufficient to solve problems of the Korean Peninsula, according to South Korean National Assembly member Song Young-gil.
"In the opinion of President Moon Jae-in, a military-political alliance between South Korea and the United States will be enough to settle problems of the Korean Peninsula; our administration thinks, at the same time, that the creation and strengthening of an alliance between South Korea, the United States, and Japan is undesirable, considering that this kind of bloc could become a 'little NATO' in East Asia," Song said at the 9th Far Eastern Russian-Korean Forum in Vladivostok.
