Putin, Xi sign 2 joint statements following talks in Moscow

MOSCOW. June 5 (Interfax) - The joint statement signed following the Russian-Chinese talks reflects the major objectives and long-term reference points for cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"I would like to place a particular emphasis on the joint statement on the development of relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation entering a new era which sets the new major objectives and long-term reference points for cooperation," Putin said following Russian-Chinese talks on Wednesday.

In addition, the leaders signed a joint statement on the strengthening of global and strategic stability in the modern era.
