CICA member states note importance of open global economy built around WTO
DUSHANBE. June 15 (Interfax) - The member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) have reiterated that they stand against protectionism.
"We support the importance of the open global economy that allows all countries and peoples to participate in the distribution of the benefits of globalization and remain firmly committed to the rule-based, transparent, indiscriminative, open and comprehensive multilateral trade system built around the WTO [World Trade Organization] taking into consideration the process of its reforming and resolutely oppose any forms of protectionism," according to the final statement of the CICA summit in Dushanbe.
