CAR inviting investors from Russia - CAR foreign minister

MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - The Central African Republic (CAR) is inviting Russian companies to invest in its forestry sector, agriculture, and hydropower industry, CAR Foreign Minister Sylvie Baipo-Temon told Interfax in an interview.

"I would like to specify that CAR has some 470 deposits, which are not only gold fields, but also uranium and iron ore deposits, oil deposits at the stage of exploration, and diamond deposits, too," Baipo-temon said.

Another important platform for investment is agriculture and its industrialization.

"We are inviting Russian investors to invest in this sector, as well as in the forestry sector. Our country in rich in extensive woodlands," she said.

The country additionally "offers broad opportunities for investment in the hydropower industry," Baipo-Temon said.
