MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - The Central African Republic (CAR) is awaiting the delivery of a further batch of Russian weapons in the near future, CAR Foreign Minister Sylvie Baipo-Temon told Interfax in an interview.

"We expect to receive the second batch of weapons shortly as this is of great value to the CAR, considering the intention of the chief of state to reform the defense sector," Baipo-Temon said.

The reform aims to create a national army, she said.

"Most importantly, the army must be capable of combat," Baipo-Temon said.
