Venezuelan National Security Council not commenting on reports on new weapon contract with Russia
UFA. June 18 (Interfax) - The Venezuelan National Security Council is not commenting on Washington's statement about a new weapon contract between Moscow and Caracas.
"This is being discussed at the level of resolving military issues," Secretary General of the Venezuelan National Security Council Pasqualino Anjolillo Fernandez said in Ufa in reply to the relevant question.
"I hold the political post now. Despite I am wearing the military uniform, my mission is political here," Fernandez told reporters in Ufa at the international conference, which is organized by the Russian Security Council.
Washington claims that Moscow and Caracas have signed a new defense contract in May.
