Moscow hoping to sign agreements on Russia-Africa summit sidelines - Lavrov
MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - A number of agreements, including those concerning trade, will be signed on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit in Sochi in October 2019, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the Russia-Africa conference in Moscow on Thursday.
"This pivotal, unprecedented meeting is expected to address a broad range of global affairs and ways of deepening Russian-African cooperation in a variety of spheres, from politics to culture," Lavrov said.
It is planned to sign "a number of bilateral and multilateral agreements, among them interstate and interagency agreements, trade agreements, and contracts," on the summit sidelines, he added.
