Russian Duma deputies head towards Tbilisi airport amid tight security

TBILISI. June 20 (Interfax) - A Russian delegation, which attended a meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy in Tbilisi, led by its president Sergei Gavrilov, has left Radisson Hotel and headed towards to Tbilisi International Airport.

Several dozen radicals tried to get through to them, but after unsuccessful attempts hurled eggs at the parliamentarians, according to images broadcast on the Rustavi 2 television channel.

There has been no official statement yet as to whether or not the assembly's meeting will resume after its disruption on Thursday by Georgian opposition parliamentarians who expressed their protest against the presence of the Russian parliamentarians in Georgia.
