Russia, Israel agree on need to fight glorification of Nazism - Patrushev
JERASULEM. June 24 (Interfax) - Russia and Israel have put up a united front in the fight against attempts to glorify Nazism and re-write the history of the Second World War, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said.
"We are speaking as a united front in countering the glorification of Nazism and preventing the re-writing of the history. In fact this is very important long-term for our descendants," Patrushev said prior to his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.
He also thanked Israel for backing Russia "on a whole host of areas, including the UN."
Patrushev is currently in Jerusalem for two-day talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Security Council Meir Ben Shabbat, and U.S. national security advisor John Bolton.
