PACE committees determine rapporteurs to work out draft decisions to contest Russian delegation's powers
KYIV. June 25 (Interfax) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) specific committees have appointed rapporteurs to elaborate draft decisions to contest the Russian delegation's powers in the Assembly, member of Ukraine's PACE delegation Boryslav Bereza said.
"The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe monitoring and regulatory committees determined rapporteurs, who will work out draft decisions to contest the Russian delegation's powers," he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
British Conservative politician Roger Gale, who voted against the return of the Russian delegation to the PACE, will prepare a draft resolution in the monitoring committee.
Bereza said Lithuanian deputy Egidijus Vareikis, who also voted against Russia's return to the PACE, will work out a draft resolution in the regulatory committee.
