Reconciliation Center head denies govt forces' indiscriminate strikes at Idlib targets during UNSC meeting

NEW YORK CITY (UN). June 26 (Interfax) - The Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria strongly denies allegations of indiscriminate strikes by Syrian government forces operating with the support of the Russian military.

"We strongly deny every allegation of indiscriminate strikes by government forces at targets in Idlib," Center head Maj. Gen. Alexei Bakin said at the Tuesday meeting of the UN Security Council via video-link.

"While working on the ground, we keep noticing one-sided coverage of the Idlib events by a number of countries, which accuse Syria and Russia of the escalation of tensions while disregarding outrageous actions and terrorist activity of the jihadists in the province," he said.
