Putin spoke with Brazilian president before BRICS summit - Peskov
MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin used the occasion before the BRICS leaders convened on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Osaka to meet with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"This time, Brazil organized and presided at the meeting [of the BRICS leaders]. While waiting for the other parties to arrive, Putin had a chance to make a rather close acquaintance with Brazilian President Bolsonaro," Peskov told the press.
It was the first meeting of the two presidents, "who had a pleasant conversation," he said.
