"As many as 6,669 homes and 847 household plots with a population of 32,777, including 4,000 children, were flooded in 83 populated localities since June 25. Forty-three social institutions have been affected, too," the representative said.

"As of Monday morning, 55 populated localities, 3,296 with a population of 9,809, 17 social institutions, and seven road sections remained flooded," he said.

More than 800 homes and federal route R-255 Siberia remain flooded in Taishet despite lowered levels of water in the Iya River, he said.
