Tragedy-stricken deep-water vehicle struck must resume service soon - Defense Ministry
SEVEROMORSK. July 3 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu has ordered a repair of the deep-water research vehicle where a fire killed 14 submariners, the Defense Ministry said.
"While at the site, Sergei Shoigu tasked the Fleet command and industry representatives to jointly work out and implement measures to swiftly repair the deep-water vehicle and return it into service as soon as possible," the ministry said.
During his working trip to Severomorsk Shoigu held a separate meeting with representatives from the manufacturer of the vehicle, the ministry said.
