Georgia to unite with 'Abkhaz, Ossetian brothers' - PM Bakhtadze
TBILISI. July 10 (Interfax) - The people of Georgia will build a united and strong country together with their "Abkhaz and Ossetian brothers" at some point, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze told the press on Wednesday.
Russia's approach to the history of relations between Tbilisi, Abkhazians, and Ossetians was based on an erroneous interpretation of facts, he said.
"Regrettably, this isn't the first time we've heard such statements based on a fundamentally wrong interpretation of facts," Bakhtadze said.
On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Georgian politicians who are trying to cause domestic destabilization and aggravate relations with Russia to remember history and gave advice on ways to normalize relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
