Motorcade carrying head of Donetsk regional administration comes under fire; soldier killed
KYIV. July 10 (Interfax) - A Ukrainian soldier has been killed and another one injured after an anti-tank missile hit the back of a military truck which formed part of a motorcade carrying the head of the Donetsk regional state administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.
"Today, at around 3 p.m., near the southern edge of Hranytne, enemy fired an anti-tank missile at the body of a KrAZ truck from a JFO unit. As a result, one serviceman was killed. Another one was moderately injured," the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook on Wednesday.
The injured soldier received first aid and has been hospitalized.
A source told the news outlet Ukrainska Pravda that Kyrylenko's vehicle had come under attack but he had not been hurt.
