Bomb alert at Zelensky parents' home in Kryvyi Rih

KYIV. July 12 (Interfax) - Police in the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipro region are checking a report that bombs were planted at several local shopping centers, kindergartens, maternity hospitals, a train station, busy public places and the house of the parents of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Police were alerted to suspected bombs on Friday, the regional police spokesperson said.

"Special teams of police investigators, operatives, bomb-disposal and dog experts, and rescuers have travelled to the scene. Thorough checks are being carried out at the premises and adjacent areas at the suspected sites," the statement said.

Among these are the central train station and the house of the parents of President Zelensy who is visiting the city on Friday, the local news outlet 1KR reported.
