Putin congratulates Macron on Bastille Day

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has confidence in the future of Russia-France relations.

"Guided by the good traditions of the past, Russia and France could be successfully developing cooperation today, particularly in politics, trade, economic development, science and technology, in the humanitarian sphere and other areas," Putin said in his greetings message to French President Emmanuel Macron on France's national holiday, the Bastille Day. The Kremlin press service quoted the message on Sunday.

Putin has said in the message that he highly appreciates relations between the two countries in terms of maintaining European security and stability, and addressing many important international issues.
