Main elements of S-400 systems to be supplied to Turkey within week - newspaper

MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax) - The supply to Turkey of the main elements of the first set of the S-400 Triumf long-range surface-to-air missile system will be completed within a week, the newspaper Izvestia reported on Monday, citing its sources.

"The supply of Russian Triumf systems to Ankara is going on rapidly. The supply of the main elements of the first set of the surface-to-air missile system will be completed within a week," the report said.

Russia has created a real air bridge for prompt and continuous transportation of the S-400 systems. Transport aviation is being used for the first time to transport such amount of equipment, the paper reported.

Since July 12, when the Russian Defense Ministry published a video of the first batch being sent out, transport aircraft has already made more than ten flights to the Turkish air base Murted. Judging by the published video, A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane is being used for delivery the cargo, in addition to the Ilyushin Il-76 and Antonov An-124 aircraft of the Aerospace Forces, the article said.
