Azerbaijan posts budget deficit of 1.4% of GDP in H1

BAKU. July 17 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan had a state budget deficit of 545.5 million manat or 1.4% of GDP for January-June 2019, the State Statistics Committee told Interfax.

Budget revenue for the period grew 5.5% year-on-year to 10.406 billion rubles manat and spending rose 15% to 10.951 billion manat.

Nominal GDP was 37.825 billion manat.

Approved state budget revenue for 2019 is 23.168 billion manat and spending - 25.19 billion manat with a forecast deficit of 2.022 billion manat or 2.5% of GDP.
