Over 30 bln rubles to be provided for information security development in Russia over 5 years - Russian Security Council
STAVROPOL. July 17 (Interfax) - The funding provided for the national project Information Security will exceed 30 billion rubles until 2024, Sergei Boiko, the head of the Russian Security Council's department on information security and IT, said.
"The project is aimed at achieving 56 main results [...] with a total amount of financing until 2024 of over 30 billion rubles, the funding provided from the budget being 18 billion rubles, some 60%," Boiko said at the conference Infoforum Northern Caucasus held in Stavropol on Tuesday.
The project will be implemented under the national program Russian Digital Economy and most of the funding, some 28 billion rubles, will be sent to the regions by 2022, Boiko said.
Among the purposes of the project is to boost the protection of people, information security and stability of public networks, and also to create new services that guarantee citizens' personal data protection, he said.
