Turkey interested in integrating electronic veterinary systems for combatting contraband - Rosselkhoznadzor
MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The Turkish side has expressed interest in possible integration of national electronic veterinary systems with Russia in order to rule out contraband shipments of products subject to control, the Russian agricultural watchdog said in a statement.
The agency conducted talks with Turkey's Ministry of Trade and its Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry during the 75th regular meeting of the WTO's Commission on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
During the talks, matters relating to shipments of poultry, poultry products, dairy and aquaculture products from Turkey to Russia were discussed.
Rosselkhoznadzor representatives also asked their own questions on exports of poultry and small ruminants, live horses and dairy products to Turkey.
The parties agreed on further partnership in the sphere of trade in animal products.
