Decision to scrap roaming between Russia, Belarus could be made by end-2019 - Matviyenko
ST. PETERSBURG. July 18 (Interfax) - A decision abolishing the roaming services between Russia and Belarus could be made by the end of 2019, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.
"We believe that a decision [scrapping the roaming services between the two countries] could be made by the end of this year. The Belarusian ambassador to Russia was more optimistic about that. I think we can even complete all approvals by mid-September and already begin putting it into practice. We will definitely finalize this matter," Matviyenko said at a press briefing following a plenary session of the Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus in St. Petersburg on Thursday.
