Zelensky urges foreigners to invest in Ukraine
KYIV. July 18 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited foreign investors to develop their businesses in Ukraine.
In a video Zelensky posted on his Facebook account on Thursday, he said Ukraine should carry out a number of reforms to boost its economic growth.
"We need to change a lot here - fire non-professionals and hire professional ones, deregulate industries, simplify rules, improve the infrastructure, and many other things," Zelensky said in English in his address to foreign investors.
"I invite you, investors from any part of the world, to join the opportunity early," he said.
Zelensky said that Ukraine would have a professional technocratic government following the upcoming parliamentary elections.
"My vision is to have Ukraine as one of the fastest-growing emerging economies in Europe. I'll lead this vision, and my new professional and technocratic government will execute accordingly," he said.
