UK representatives first asked for meeting with Lavrov, then stopped attempts - source
BANGKOK. July 31 (Interfax) - United Kingdom representatives asked for arranging a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the ASEAN events but then stopped attempts, an informed source told Interfax on Wednesday.
"They asked for a meeting with Lavrov on the sidelines of the ASEAN events, but then they said they had to consult London," the source said, adding that the UK representatives did not make any further attempts to get in touch with Russian ones.
Bangkok is hosting a Russia-ASEAN ministerial meeting on Wednesday.
