Russian, Serbian chiefs of staff discuss military-technical cooperation, joint exercises

MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The Russian and Serbian Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Valery Gerasimov and Lieut. Gen. Milan Mojsilovic, have met in Moscow to discuss military-technical cooperation.

"Recently our military interaction has got more dynamic and wide-ranging. The Russian and Serbian Defense Ministries' this year's program is packed full of events. I suggest that today we discuss our interaction and military-technical cooperation," Gerasimov said.

He thanked Mojsilovic for the decision to attend the opening of the International Army Games 2019.

"We are grateful for the active support for the annual international events and competitions conducted by the Russian Defense Ministry. The partnership between Russia and Serbia is one of a strategic nature, as was confirmed by our countries' presidents in their joint statement following President Vladimir Putin's visit to Belgrade in January of this year," Gerasimov said.
