Moscow court arrests Anti-Corruption Foundation employee Alburov for 10 days for Aug 3 rally
MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The Presnensky District Court in Moscow has imposed a 10-day arrest on an employee Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) Georgy Alburov, who was detained for an unsanctioned rally on August 3.
"The court found Alburov guilty of an offense as per part two of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organizing of a public event without due notice). He is being penalized with a 10-day administrative arrest," the court told Interfax on Monday.
Alburov was detained last Saturday, August 3, during an unsanctioned rally in the form of a walk down the boulevards in the city center in support of non-registered candidates for the Moscow City Duma.
Around 600 people were arrested during the event, police said.
