Military investigators begin inquiry into incident outside Achinsk
YEKATERINBURG. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Military investigators are conducting an inquiry into the explosion of munitions as a result of the fire at the military unit in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the press service for the Russian Investigative Committee's military investigations directorate in the Central Military District told Interfax on Monday.
"The military investigation department for the Krasnoyarsk garrison is conducting an inquiry. It is our unit," the press service said.
A fire broke out at a magazine of gunpowder charges for artillery munitions at a depot of the Central Military District's Logistics Center located in the Achinsk district of the Krasnoyarsk territory at about 1:00 p.m. Moscow time on August 5, the press service of the Russian Central Military District reported earlier on Monday.
The ammo depot is located near the Kamenka village in the Achinsk district.
