Patriarch Kirill sends condolences to Trump over deadly shootings in Texas, Ohio
MOSCOW. Aug 6 (Interfax) - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has offered his condolences to U.S. President Donald Trump following a recent series of shooting incidents in which dozens were killed or injured.
"In these difficult times for the American people, we are extending our condolences to all who are grieving today. I hope that everything possible will be done from now on to prevent a repeat of such tragedies," Patriarch Kirill said in his message to Trump.
Twenty-one people were killed and more than 20 were wounded in a mass shooting at a Walmart in the El Paso shopping mall in Texas on August 3. Another nine people were killed in a shooting incident in Dayton, Ohio early on August 4. Another seven people were wounded in a shooting incident in a park in Chicago in the state of Illinois.
