Bomb alert at Arkhangelsk airport proves false

ARKHANGELSK. Aug 7 (Interfax) - No explosive device was found inside the building of the international airport of Arkhangelsk, the airport's press service told Interfax on Wednesday.

"Searches are over, no explosive device was found. People can check-in for the next flight. The airport will now work without delay," a spokesman said.

The anonymous call was received between flights, so there were few people in the hall; several were evacuated, he said.

It was reported that the Arkhangelsk airport was evacuated on Wednesday after a bomb call. The previous such evacuation prompted by an emailed bomb threat was on June 21.
