Shoigu checks progress of govt contract at Uralvagonzavod

NIZHNY TAGIL. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu was shown prototypes of highly-protected heavy-class robotic systems during a visit to Uralvagonzavod's facilities on Monday.

The minister inspected progress of a government contract, visited a battle tank assembly unit, and heard reports by the top management.

The company's chief design engineer Andrei Terlikov demonstrated newly developed highly-secured heavy-class unmanned combat vehicles (converted from the T-72B3 tank), one armed with heavy weapons and the other with automatic cannons.
