Utair ups passenger services 2.8% in H1, seat occupancy up 3 p.p
KHANTY-MANSIYSK. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Utair carried 4.6 million passengers in H1 2019, up 2.8% year-on-year, the airline's press service said in a statement.
Seat occupancy was up 3 percentage points (p.p.) to 82%.
"In the summer period, Utair boosted its operational indicators as planned without increasing the size of its fleet, due to the fee card implemented since the start of the year, and new routes from the regions to the south of Russia," Utair chief Pavel Permyakov was quoted as saying in the statement.
Utair is among Russia's top ten airlines by passenger turnover. In 2018, the company carried 7.96 million passengers and is planning to boost passenger services by 12% to 8.9 million passengers in 2019. The airline's fleet includes 50 long-haul Boeing aircraft and 15 regional ATR-72 aircraft.
