Militants attack 13 populated localities in Syria over day - Reconciliation Center
HMEIMIM. Aug 14 (Interfax) - The Russian military in Syria keeps observing ceasefire violations by illegal armed units operating in the Idlib de-escalation area, the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, Maj. Gen. Alexei Bakin, said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
"Twenty-five attacks were observed on August 12. Fighters of illegal armed units opened fire at Aleppo, Benyamin and Sabikiyah in the Aleppo province, al-Salihiyah in the Idlib province, and Ardash-Dag, Mazar al Shamali, Ayn al-Qantarah, Sandran, Beit Jnauro, Jubb al-Mgara, Kara-Galia, Safsafa, and Ayn al-Ashra in the Latakia province," Bakin said.
The Russian Center for Reconciliation urged commanders of the illegal armed units to stop armed provocations and to take the path of peaceful settlement in the areas under their control, he said.
