Moscow City Election Commission to ask Investigative Committee to look into cases of forging signatures - Gorbunov
MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The Moscow City Election Commission wants to ask the Russian Investigative Committee to look into the cases of falsifying signatures in favor of Moscow City Duma candidates, Chairman Valentin Gorbunov said.
"We will compulsorily submit all materials on forging signatures to the Russian Investigative Committee. Perhaps, then there will be much fewer people who want to draw them up," Gorbunov said at a press conference dealing with the results of the registration of candidates.
Deputy Chairperson of the Central Elections Commission Nikolai Bulayev backed him. "One should inquire into these things and from where they are taking the databases of people," he said.
