Russia lifts restrictions on imports of products from three Belarusian businesses
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Russian plant and animal health watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has lifted previously imposed restrictions on imports of food products from three Belarusian companies effective August 16.
Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant No. 1 OJSC can again ship its beef and beef products to Russia; Molodechno Dairy Plant OJSC can ship its whole milk products; and meat processor Akdimol LLC can ship its products to Russia, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
This decision was made based on investigation materials received from Belarus and measures taken to eliminate identified violations, as well as guarantees from the veterinary and food oversight department of the Belarusian Food and Agriculture Ministry, the watchdog said.
Products from these companies shipped to Russia must be produced on or after August 16, 2019 and be accompanied by electronic veterinary certificates, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
