Eight Siberian anthrax cases confirmed in Armenia
YEREVAN. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Eight Siberian anthrax cases have been confirmed in the village of Geghhovit, 130 kilometers west of Yerevan, the Armenian Health Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
Five villagers were diagnosed with anthrax at first, and the diagnosis was confirmed by a laboratory for three more locals on Thursday, it said.
All the patients are receiving treatment, the ministry said.
