Patrushev discusses tourist exchanges, promotion of Russian language in Malaysia
MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has discussed with Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Kuala Lumpur.
"Special attention was given to humanitarian ties; in particular, the promotion of the Russian language and literature in Malaysian educational institutions and the enhancement of tourist exchanges," the press service for the Russian Security Council office said in a statement seen by Interfax on Tuesday.
"An extensive range of issues related to Russian-Malaysian cooperation" was discussed at the meeting, which took place in the city of Putrajaya, the press service said.
