KYIV. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Ukraine's State Investigation Bureau (SIB) has launched a criminal inquiry into whether Andriy Parubiy impeded the exercise of the electoral right during his time as Verkhovna Rada speaker, the SIB press service told Interfax.

"The case was opened under part four of Article 157 (impeding the exercise of the electoral right or the right to take part in a referendum, the work of an electoral or referendum commission, or the work of an official monitor) of the Criminal Code," the SIB said.

The inquiry was launched on August 20 by order of the court, it said.
